The 125th Anniversary Celebration wrapped up Saturday night, and Commercial Street is quiet again. Now that things are back to normal, we want to say the only thing that really needs to be said: thank you!
Thank you to everyone who ran the borough’s first-ever 5K, and to everyone who danced until 11 p.m. at the Roaring ’20s Dinner/Dance. To everyone who lined the parade route on Sunday and then walked over to the Triangle Park ecumenical service. To everyone who had ice cream at Dari Delite, stopped by the carnival, or watched a wild pie-eating contest. To everyone who entered a contest, and to everyone who came out just to see who won. To everyone who rocked out until after dark with music and food.
On Tuesday, the weather forecast won and we lost a whole night.
But everything else went even better than we could have hoped.

The Fire Hall Was Home Base
A huge thanks to the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department and chief Ray Costain for providing a home for most of the events and offering their assistance throughout the week. Without them there wouldn’t have been a 125th Anniversary Celebration.
