
The winners of November’s borough council elections were sworn into office Monday night.
First-time borough councilmember Justine Cimarolli joined incumbents William Henderson, Bruce Ghelarducci, Joe Verduci for a brief ceremony where they swore to uphold the United States and Pennsylvania constitutions while serving on council.
Henderson was reappointed as council president, with Nino Petrocelli Sr. serving as vice president. Joe Colosimo will was named president pro tempore—essentially Bridgeville council’s Patrick Leahy.
Mayor Betty Copeland and tax collector Anne Marie Parisi were also re-sworn in.
Bridgeville Council also made multiple appointments to Borough boards and commissions including:
-Bradley Logel to the Zoning Hearing Board, term to expire 1/2027.
-Melissa Guiliani to the Planning Commission, term to expire 1/2023.
-Elizabeth Bellaver to the Planning Commission, term to expire 1/2024.
-Deb Colosimo to the Vacancy Board, term to expire 1/2024.
Council also voted to promote Bridgeville police officer Daine Lower to full-time status, effective February 1. His promotion coincides with the retirement of patrolman Chris Manolakos after 26 years in the department.
