Gov. Tom Wolf ordered all restaurants and bars in Allegheny County to close their dine-in/drink-in facilities until at least March 30. Carry-out, delivery, and drive-through services can continue.
Allegheny County officials are asking gyms, hair salons, theaters, and other “non-essential” businesses to voluntarily close until at least March 30.
The Centers for Disease Control recommends that all gatherings of 50 or more people be canceled or postponed.
Bridgeville Borough meetings have been canceled through March 31. This includes the Parking Authority and Planning Commission. The municipal office is closed to visitors, but residents can contact the borough by phone or email.
Chartiers Valley remains closed through at least March 30. Students are not required to complete assignments during the closure, but are encouraged to uses the online educational resources that the district is sharing.
Students and residents who don’t have internet at home might want to look into Comcast’s offer of free broadband internet for low-income households.
The Bridgeville Public Library is closed until after March 29. Online resources, including digital books, remain available.
SouthBridge EMS has closed their stations to outside visitors. First aid/CPR classes are canceled. Ambulance service will continue , but no additional riders are permitted during transport to hospitals.
