Bridgeville’s police and public works employees will receive identical wage increases for each of the next three years.
The new Bridgeville police contract, which was finalized in November, gives full-time officers a 2.5% annual pay increase from 2019 to 2021. The agreement also adds UPMC as a medical insurance option for police officers.
Earlier this month, borough council approved a labor agreement with the public work employees that gives them a 2.5% pay bump, as well.
Those wage hikes are about on par with the national cost-of-living increase, which was up 2.2% from 2018, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
