One Week After Police Facebook Warning, Drug Suspect Turns Herself In

November 2, 2017 By Tim McNellie

A suspect in a drug deal that resulted in a lethal fentanyl overdose has turned herself into Bridgeville police.

Latoya Rosiek, 32, entered police custody Thursday afternoon, one week after Bridgeville Police Chief Chad King published a Facebook post warning Rosiek that she would be caught.

Via the Signal-Item:

Latoya Rosiek, 32, is charged with selling fentanyl to Michael Desanto. Desanto, who died in December 2016, allegedly thought he was buying heroin.

Rosiek will be transferred to the Allegheny County Jail where she will be arraigned, [Bridgeville Police sergeant Gary] James said.

Bridgeville police have solved numerous notable crimes with the assistance of the department’s Facebook followers, and this wouldn’t be the first time that a social media post helped convince a suspect to turn him or herself in.
