[UPDATED] Facebook IDs Armed Robbery Suspect in Less Than 2 Hours

This morning, the Bridgeville Police Department asked Facebook users for help in identifying a man suspected of robbing the Washington Avenue Rite-Aid store at 8:48 a.m. today.

Less than two hours after sharing some surveillance camera photos, police chief Chad King was thanking the department’s Facebook followers for quickly and definitively identifying the suspect.

UPDATE: It only took 10-15 minutes for Facebook users to identify the suspect.

“The actor has been positively identified and we will be obtaining an arrest warrant within the next few hours!” the chief wrote.

UPDATE #2: After the suspect’s girlfriend identified him to police, chief Chad King promised that he would removed the suspect’s photo from Facebook, so we’ve updated the story with an altered photos.
