Here’s a Map of (Almost) Every Fish Fry in Allegheny County

Today is Ash Wednesday. That means that Lenten season has begun and so has fish fry season.

Holy Child is serving fish lunches and dinners today and every Friday through April 7.You can order online by phone at 412-221-5213 (dial 3 for the fish fry line).

The Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department is cooking up fish on the following Fridays: March 3, 17, 31, and April 14. Food is served  from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. To order, call 412-221-1711.

If you want to check out fish fry action beyond Bridgeville’s border look no further than this map that one Pittsburgh-area hero assembled to provide locations and times for scores of fish fries in Allegheny County and beyond.

Zoomed-out, the map reveals just how much Pittsburghers love fish fries. Zoomed-in, you can see every event in a specific borough, township, or ZIP code.

This is actually the sixth year that CMU’s Hollen Barmer has created the map. While it’s not entirely comprehensive, it’s quite detailed, and even calls out venues that serve pierogies. If there’s a fish fry missing, you can message Barmer at her Facebook page.
