Last week, Bridgeville renewed the franchise agreement with Comcast that allows the cable provider to offer its services in the borough. In exchange, Comcast pays Bridgeville an annual fee. Last year, the fee was $122,000.
But there’s another benefit to the borough’s franchise agreement, Mayor Pat DeBlasio reminded residents last week—the borough can help you resolve problems you might be having with Comcast.
“If Comcast isn’t answering your phone calls,” he said, “if they’re not fixing their problems, you have recourse—the borough is available to hear your complaints.”
