Founded just four months ago, the Greater Bridgeville Area Lions Club has grown to 27 members and has given support to nonprofits like 412 Food Rescue and the VFW. They have also been raising money to purchase defibrillators for the Bridgeville Police Department and to help provide carbon monoxide detectors to area residents.
On Thursday, Jan. 12, the Lions host a Charter Night Celebration at the Alpine Hunting and Fishing Club in South Fayette.
Cost is $29 per person. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by a dinner buffet and several speakers.
