Would Traffic Signs Help Slow Down Motorists At This Intersection?

Sometimes, in parts of Bridgeville, it seems like traffic never moves.

At the intersection of Mayview Road, Lesnett Road, Bank Street, and Chartiers Street, it sometimes seems like traffic won’t stop moving, at least not long enough for people coming from Bridgeville to make a turn.

“The people coming from Upper St. Clair like to charge through that intersection,” Bridgeville resident Liz Calabro told council earlier this month.

She suggested the borough try to get a “dangerous intersection” or similar sign installed to slow down motorists headed from Upper St. Clair to Bridgeville.

Mayview Road is out of Bridgeville or Upper St. Clair’s jurisdiction, but the borough can make that request from PennDOT, borough manager Lori Collins said.
