That vacant lot across from the post office could be home to a sleek new five-story, glass-walled office building.
At last week’s borough council meeting, developer F. Lynn Foltz revealed an artist’s rendering of the proposed building, which bore the name “Gopal Towers.”
Gopal Real Estate, the firm behind the proposed development, is owned by Dr. Bhola Roy, a physican with an office at 609 Washington Avenue—next door to now-vacant lot where the building would be constructed. In 2005, Gopal bought 625 Washington Avenue for $240,000, according to county records.

Foltz emphasized that the rendering was preliminary and that he is working with the Bridgeville Parking Authority to address any parking concerns that that new building could create. He came to the council meeting to find out whether proposed zoning changes would impact plans for the Gopal building.
