Tomorrow evening, more than 100 families will get a full Thanksgiving dinner delivered to their doors, thanks to a few local churches and a lot of volunteers, according to the Observer-Reporter.

This marks the fifth year that several area churches, including Bridgeville’s Bethany Presbyterian, team up to bring holiday dinner to families in need.

According to the Observer-Reporter:

Recipients of the Thanksgiving outreach usually come by way of recommendation.

‘These are not necessarily people who are poor,’ [says one of the organizers]. ‘These are people whom we want to share God’s love with: moms who maybe are going through cancer treatment and just don’t have the energy to cook, or moms or dads going through a divorce and just don’t know how they’re going to pull of a Thanksgiving meal.’
