Expect delays if you’re driving on Washington Avenue after 6 p.m. during the next few weeks.
Starting Monday, September 28, a repaving project will reduce parts of the avenue to a single lane between Chartiers Street and Station Street between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Construction is scheduled for weekdays, but weekend work may occur, according to a PennDOT press release.
The project should be finished by early November.
The work is part of a $2.4 million contract to resurface four roadways in Allegheny County, PennDOT said. The Lane Construction Corporation is the primary contractor.
