The Chartiers Center on Railroad Street now offers outpatient substance abuse treatment.
The nonprofit mental health services provider, formerly known as the Chartiers Community Mental Health and Retardation Center, made the announcement earlier this month.
The program is open to adolescents and adults ages 12 and older. Substance abuse services include individual counseling, family counseling, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management.
People interested in referring a customer to the program should call 412-221-3302 ext. 123.
The intake operator can also provide information about payment options and insurance coverage.
Last year, the Chartiers Center changed its name after decades of operating as the Chartiers Community Mental Health and Retardation Center. The new name aims to remove the stigma associated with seeking mental health services.
