On Monday, Borough Council will review bids for sewer repairs expected to cost approximately $375,000.
The work involves two contracts and more than 50 sewer point repairs expected to be completed in 2015, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
A mandatory pre-bid meeting held Feb. 24 attracted 18 companies. Bids are due by March 4 and the borough has budgeted about $375,000 for the projects.
“The turnout was larger than we anticipated but the meeting (was) useful in clearing up questions and helping understand the criteria of a bid,” [borough manager Lori] Collins said.
The sewer work is being done as part of ongoing consent order updates.
Council meets Monday, March 9 at the borough building.
The workshop meeting begins at 6 p.m. The agenda meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. The voting meeting begins at 7 p.m.
