For the next two months, federal workers will be conducting a controlled deer hunt in the wooded area between Missouri Avenue and McLaughlin Run Road in Upper St. Clair Township.
Earlier today on Facebook, Bridgeville police reminded borough residents that the hunt will take place two nights per week, Mondays through Thursdays, and that the U.S. Department of Agriculture hunters will be using a white truck and accessing the hunting area from Missouri Avenue in Bridgeville.
The hunters will use suppressed rifles, but residents may still hear a crack sound when a shot is fired. All shots will be fired away from Missouri Avenue properties and toward the McLaughlin Run creek basin.
Meat from deer killed during the hunts will be donated to food banks in Allegheny and Washington counties.
